Their PhD thesis work is on literary analysis of contemporary issues faced by modern Afghan women and children, as represented in Afghan American author, Nadia Hashimi's novels, covering lives under Taliban regime, child prostitution and child marriage, gender identity issues, refugee and migration studies, identity studies and post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD. Their expertise lies in feminism, gender studies, womens studies and intersectionality.
